Dec 2001 purchased Vision 1400, 2002 model with 256 MB PC133 SDRAM. Last year my grandson added a 64MB stick. 3 weeks ago someone actually removed the memory sticks. There were 3 of them. One was labelled 64MB(the one installed last year), the other 2 were labelled 128MB and 64MB. I called the company's retail store in Kingston, and emailed their tech support. Tech support explained they do not assemble desk tops and that is done at the retail store. The retail store says if their invoice and the "windows properties" showed 256MB-then that is what tere is! I said there was only a 128MB and a 64MB stick (192 not 256) when I left their store with it. To this the manager says -"well sometimes there is 64 MB in the motherboard and I should bring in my computer".
I have never heard of 64MB being in the motherboard!- I know there can be something called virtual memory to compensate for installed memory. The manager was flippant and said there is no problem for me to drive 2 hrs to Kingston and then tell me how much they will charge to add memory. Not even an apology.
I KNOW NOW(with hindsight) THAT AT TIME OF PURCHASE IF I HAD ASKED THEM TO REMOVE THE TOWER'S COVER ABD SHOW ME THE MEMORY-THEY WOULD HAVE SHOWM ME 192, NOT 256MB. Hard to believe!

Hey,
I'm just wondering, I'm editing a video in Adobe Premiere Pro and everything went fine until now. When I try to render the clip or export it stops and says it can't complete. No matter how many times I do it it will not render past this one certain point. I thought it was the video clip but it rendered other pieces of the clip earlier in the video. There's no transitions or effects at this point, it's just a start of a video clip. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm backing up an irreplacable movie to DVD-R right now from DVD9 to DVD5. It's mighty hard on machine resources and I've discovered at least one program that copied just the main movie without menus, etc. 
Anyone have input on this? I'm using Linux but I could also use Windows if I was really forced to.
Right now I have dvd9to5 going (it's really just a PERL script that calls other programs to do its thing).

FYI..
there is a great forums board for Nintendo DS players that have/use the Wi-fi networked games.. It tries to facilitate/schedule network hookups amongst any/all of its members. It's kewl to be able to meet up with players from across the world and have a game of MarioKart against them. The British players always drive on the wrong side of the road ! And the NYC drivers are always smashing into you, and beeping their horns ! <grin>
